Mediafone’ s Suppliers Policy

  1. GENERAL SUPPLIERS

1.1.        Selection and Evaluation

The evaluation of suppliers is increasingly a well-defined process whenever the quality of supplies is demanding. The market has developed and evolved in order to create closer links between customers and suppliers, partnership relationships between both parties are increasingly necessary for the proper functioning of the production area. In general, Mediafone evaluates its suppliers based on the following main points: price, delivery times and quality of services or products , responsiveness or absence.

The suppliers that Mediafone works with are always subject to an evaluation process, in order to establish a classification against the defined criteria.

Initially, they are evaluated as potential suppliers, and after an order is placed, they are evaluated as active suppliers;

The parameters underlying the assessment of potential suppliers are as follows:

  • Price;
  • Quality of services or products ;
  • Deadline

Regarding the evaluation of active suppliers, the criteria used for the evaluation are as follows:

  • Compliance with order or contract requirements;
  • Compliance with the delivery deadline;
  • Quality provision of services;
  • Ease of relationship with the supplier or service provider (eg billing, resolution of complaints, others).

In the evaluations (of potential and active suppliers) Mediafone classifies the supplier as “Approved”, “Pending” and “Not Approved”.

Within the scope of Mediafone’s Quality Management System according to the NP ISO 9001:2015 Standard, we carry out an annual assessment of our suppliers’ services.

The evaluation of suppliers is a tool used to validate compliance with the requirements of each supplier/supply, with the main objective of enhancing the positive points and minimizing the negative points, this evaluation being carried out on an annual basis.

Suppliers are evaluated according to the following evaluation criteria:

  • Compliance with requirements
  • Deadline accomplishments
  • Handling complaints
  • Certification
  • Global Assessment

We also evaluated the provision compared to the previous year, identifying whether there was an improvement or degradation in the level of service provision.

After the assessment, and according to the result achieved, a classification is given and, in case of an assessment that is less than acceptable, measures must be taken in order to avoid future non-compliance.

Performance Assessment Level Supplier Type
3 |   ≥ 70 % and 100% Preferred / Approved
2 |   ≥ 50% and < 69% Acceptable / Pending
1 |   <49% Appeal / Not approved
  • Voice Over Professional’ s

To reach the highest quality standard for the service we provide in the market, there are some criteria and supply rules that must be followed so that we can achieve this goal.

2.1.        Selection / acceptance criteria for insertion on the Webaudiostore.com platform

Remote recording requirements

Below, we indicate the main technical requirements to achieve these Quality standards that we intend to meet the demands of the market and our customers.

Professional audio equipment

During the registration process on our webaudiostore.com platform, the announcer will come across a specification of equipment that he must have to achieve such standards, in any case, we reaffirm here:

The minimum requirements are:

  • Audio interface capable of recording at a sampling rate of 48 kHz and 24-bit resolution, some examples are: Behringer UHD series, Focusrite (all tracks), Motu (all tracks), M-Audio (all tracks) , Universal Audio (all tracks), RME (all tracks), etc.
  • A professional condenser microphone, some examples are: AT2020, Rode NT1/NT2/ NT2A, Superlux E205U, Superlux E205, Behringer C 3, T.Bone SC200 / 300, AKGP120, Neumann U87, Neumann M149, Sennheiser MKH 416 P48.
  • A professional dynamic microphone, some examples are: Sure SM7, Share MV7
  • USB microphones are also acceptable and are preferably those that have a good interface to control the gain. ( Good UI : Apogee ) ( Weak UI: Sennheiser )

Make sure you use professional standard XLR cables such as Neutrik or similar.

These are examples, the decision of the mark and model of a microphone and the interface audio is entirely of the user and is not limited to the examples above. The most important thing is that the user is confident with the result of the recording, and that it has a professional sound.

Cabin recording and requirements of the space

The room is just as important as the equipment, so there are a number of requirements for recording to sound good in relation to the space in which it takes place.

 The room should have as little reflection (echo) as possible, the aim here is to always have a soundproof professional voice booth, or if a portable voice booth is not possible, if none of the above examples can be met, a wardrobe with enough clothes to cancel the reflection (echo) or any other DIY solution that works to cut the reflection (echo) as much as possible. Avoid recording in the center of the room, also keep a reasonable distance between your mouth and the microphone to avoid the effect of proximity (low frequency pressure increase) or too far away, which will increase the natural reverberation in the recording, a good example of a room with a lot of echoes is a bathroom where the walls are tiled, this is certainly not the appropriate space for recording.

Software and volume requirements

In the DAW (digital audio workstation) market there is many Paid and Free Software, any of the tools available online is accepted as long as the user has a good knowledge of how to work with it.

Some of the following tools are supported for recording, processing, exporting and creating quality audio files:

              – Pro Tools (Market Standard), Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Nuendo, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper, Audacity, Audition, Harrison Mixbus, Sound Particles, etc …

The decision of the tool is entirely up to the user and is not limited to the examples mentioned above, as long as it is able to deliver fast work and quality recordings.

 Some of the requirements of the digital recording process are.

              – The recording session must be set to 48 / 44.1 khz 16/24 bits.

              – The recording level should always be between -22dB and -12dB (RMS) and between -6dB and -3dB (Peak), the noise level should be -70dB or lower (most home studio recording chains cater to these requirements).

              – The voice recording must always be mono, unprocessed (Gate, EQ Compression, Limitation or any other type of mastering tool available on the market), so that the goal is, little or no plugin, whether digital or external, and a Raw file. wav or. Aiff.

We do not accept files. wav or. aiif processed, due to the variable nature of the project requests we receive.

WebAudioStore demos and demo requests

After completing the registration process and logging in after email confirmation, you will be asked to provide examples of work on our platform.

These examples will be uploaded to our platform and our audio experts will assess the voice and recording quality. Once these audios are validated and approved, they will be ready to be heard by the public. The decision to request our services and choose one or more voices is entirely up to the customer.

An important observation about public demos is that the quality provided there may not be the quality required when selected for a job. When selected, or at the time of construction of a commercial proposal in which it will be suggested, a personalized demo will be requested, to assess whether your recording conditions correspond exactly to the quality required by our technicians and indicated in this document. A demo recording that does not satisfy may mean the work will be canceled, but it is always subject to evaluation.

Work Delivery

The work delivered to us must always correspond to the quality stated in all the above topics.

Failure to comply with our standards may mean the cancellation of work, but they are always subject to evaluation.

When delivering audio files, there are certain conditions that must be fulfilled.

              – The script reading must be impeccable and without errors, correction will be requested, without any addition to the initial budget accepted.

              – If the customer requests a script modification, this will be included in the initially accepted quote; all other additional script modifications will be subject to an additional budget.

The evaluation criteria are as follows:

  • Meeting the deadline
  • Compliance with the customer requirements
  • Need for Corrections
  • Deadline for response to the need for corrections
  • Handling complaints

With the data arising from the analyzed criteria, we built a basis for evaluating the service provided by each Speaker throughout the year.

In the evaluations (of potential and active suppliers) Mediafone classifies the supplier as “Approved”, “Pending” and “Not Approved”.
